Alderley Park chemistry services company secures investment

An Alderley Park-based chemistry services contract research organisation has secured an investment from the GM&C Life Sciences Fund.
Catapult Ventures, which manages the seed and early-stage venture capital fund, has announced the investment into YProTech to help it commission a high-potency facility at Alderley Park to extend its range of services and strengthen its sales and marketing capability.
Tony Flinn, who is a venture partner with Catapult Ventures, will join the board of YProTech as a non-executive director following the deal. Flinn founded chemistry services provider Onyx Scientific in 2000 and secured long-term relationships with many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies before the business was acquired by IPCA Laboratories in 2011.
