Cheshire and Warrington LEP welcomes new business figures

Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has welcomed new figures released this week showing that 2015 was a record year for new businesses registering in the county.

According to a report undertaken by Inform Direct, almost 12,000 new companies formed in the area last year, up from 10,830 from the year before, more than a 10% increase.

Of the new companies created last year, over 5,000 were in Warrington, over 3,500 were in Cheshire East, and over 2,000 were in Chester West and Chester.
