Ellesmere Port-headquartered EIC brokers £3.2m in energy investment

The Energy Innovation Centre (EIC), a North West-based organisation set up to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative ideas in the energy sector, has reported brokering £3.2m in investments during the 2015/16 year.

The EIC, which is headquartered in Ellesmere Port, confirmed that the total value of deals facilitated since its launch in 2008 now stands at £15.7m.

Over the last 12 months, the EIC saw its global network grow to encompass more than 1,600 companies, including firms based in the US, Canada, Israel, India, South Africa, Brazil and Russia. Additionally, the centre welcomed fellow innovation support organisation Energy Systems Catapult (ESC) on board as a new industry partner. Read More
