Knowledge Economy to go under the microscope

Four high-profile speakers will address the North West’s burgeoning science and knowledge economy atInsider‘s Business of Property Conference, it has been revealed.

Rowena Burns, chief executive of Manchester Science Partnerships, will be one of those taking part in the panel debate during the North West Business of Property Conference 2016.

On her agenda will be the developments at Alderley Park in Cheshire, which this month attracted the high-profile relocation of drug discovery and development firm Redx Pharma.

In February, approval was granted to transform the 400-acre Alderley Park site in Cheshire into a “world-class hub for the life sciences” which could help to create and secure thousands of jobs. Cheshire East Council‘s planning committee gave the green light to proposals submitted by Alderley Park Ltd, a collaboration between property developer Bruntwood, science park operator Manchester Science Partnerships and Cheshire East Council. Read More
