Manufacturing Skills Fund opening for applications

The #ManufacturingSkillsFund is open for applications 26 October 2016 – 14 December 2016 (9am).

We are looking for projects which will help us deliver the Trust’s vision of accelerating the number of people in the UK who are accessing learning and gaining vocational skills.

The skills shortages in the advanced manufacturing and engineering sector are widely recognised by employer bodies, business groups and industrial partnerships.

To be able to compete and attract global customers there is a need to:

• Up-skill the existing workforce to meet the needs of today’s technology

• Bring new talent into the industry

• Put in place new training programmes to meet the needs of emerging technologies
