NW businesses among most inspirational

A total of 102 businesses in the North West have been named on a London Stock Exchange list of the 1,000 companies to inspire Britain.

The third edition of the report identifies the fastest-growing small and medium sized businesses across the UK, together expanding at an average of 50 per cent a year.

Among the region’s representatives on the list are Chester-based cottage holiday rental specialist Sykes Cottages, historic Lancashire manufacturer Hill Biscuits, Liverpool-based R.S Clare and shoe repair and key cutting chain Timpson.
