Arcis Biotechnology raises £2.5m

Arcis Biotechnology (pictured) has raised £2.5m in an oversubscribed fundraising drive supported by existing shareholders and new investors.

Following the fundraise, the company said that it would continue to commercialise its R&D-led portfolio of products including its novel malaria diagnostic, which is intended to help detect the disease in its early stages both quickly and inexpensively.

Arcis Biotechnology is now valued at approximately £15m.
