Britain’s brightest businesses named in Queen’s Award

Aluxury pet food business, a company building medical machines to treat chronic pain, and an environmental clean-up firm are among 243 business to be awarded accolades by the Queen on her birthday.

Now in their 50th year, the annual Queen’s Awards recognise British firms that have excelled in exporting, social or environmental good works, or innovation.

Winners range from start-ups, such as Extreme Toys, which makes camera-enabled drones, to mid-sized shirtmaker Charles Tyrwhitt, FTSE 100 giant British Land to global social enterprise, the Fairtrade Foundation. Read More
