Cheshire and Warrington leads way as North’s most productive area

Cheshire and Warrington is leading the way as the most productive area in the north but children in the region continue to fall behind those in the south.

The IPPR North report found that while cities dominate the region’s £289 billion economy, there are significant numbers of highly qualified workers and high productivity in ‘more rural’ areas too.
