SGi Shepherd Gilmour, the civil, structural and environmental engineering consultancy, has secured contracts on three major construction projects across the North West.

The business will work as engineers on the new 92,569 sq ft Scottish Power depot in Middlewich alongside Pochin and on db symmetry’s 120,000 sq ft industrial unit at Huyton Business Park.

SGi has also won the contract to work on Bupa’s new £50m scheme (pictured) in Salford Quays, which will provide office space for approximately 2,000 staff when completed. It has been appointed by Morgan Sindall Group to complete the detailed design work it had developed for previous owner Peel Land & Property Group.

Emyr Jones, director at SGi Shepherd Gilmour, said: “We’re thrilled to be working on these three standout projects in the North West.”

The news comes after the company announced last month that it had doubled turnover to £1.2m
