Work begins on Middlewich Hub

Work on an environmental hub in Middlewich is underway.

The development is located on Cledford Lane and aims to end the landfill disposal of black-bin waste in the borough.

Wates Construction has been appointed to carry out the creation and refurbishment of new and existing buildings at the site.

It has been designed to provide a site for Ansa Environmental Services to run waste collection, recycling and parks and street cleansing services for Cheshire East Council.

The scheme is part of the council’s ambitions to increase recycling, attain targets in waste collection and preserve existing employment through the relocation of jobs to Middlewich. Read More
