Home comforts drive Crawford Healthcare forward

A Cheshire healthcare company, specialising in advanced wound and skin care, has told Insider that despite a record-breaking year its emergence on the global stage has only just begun.

Crawford Healthcare, based in Knutsford, was shortlisted for Emerging Exporter at Insider’s North West International Trade Awards in 2015. Since then it has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise and announced earlier this month that group revenue had increased by 17 per cent to £21.5m for the year to 31 March 2016.

Richard Anderson, Crawford’s chief executive, has been pleased by the recent growth and attributes the success to its employees.

“I know it’s a bit of a cliché but we really have a policy of trying to find and retain the very best talent here in the North West,” he said. “I feel very strongly that the North West is a fantastic place to have a healthcare business.” Read more
